ffl transfers spring, TX
what’s an ffl transfer?
When you buy a firearm online or from another dealer, federal law requires it to be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder, not directly to your home. That’s where we come in.
As a licensed FFL, Fowler Firearms receives the shipment, records it, and makes sure every transfer follows ATF and Texas state requirements. Once your firearm arrives, we’ll contact you to schedule an appointment where you’ll complete ATF Form 4473 and a background check before taking it home.
Every firearm transfer must go through this process unless an exemption applies, such as certain law enforcement or NFA items. It’s how the ATF tracks ownership changes and keeps the process secure and compliant. An FFL transfer is the safe, legal, and required way to receive a firearm you purchased online or out of state.
